A new qualification format will be tested in Formula 1 races this season.
The sprint qualifying races are reported to be held in three stages. It is not reported on which Grand Prix the changes in the regulations will be tested, but according to media reports, one of them will be the stage in the UK in mid-July.
It is reported that the distance of qualifying races will be 100 km, pilots will not be allowed to enter the pits for refueling, and at the end of the event, the top three pilots will receive bonus points (3, 2, and 1, respectively) in the overall standings.
Let us remind you that two stages have already passed this season. Reigning champion Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes is in the lead with 44 points overall.
