In November 2015, the official presentation of the sixth generation Hyundai Elantra, which is de facto considered the “engine” of sales of the Korean brand, took place in Los Angeles. Since its inception, the model has sold over 10 million copies worldwide. According to the manufacturer’s statements, the new product has been significantly improved, thanks to which it is able to compete with the generally recognized leaders.
Compared to its predecessor, the car has got a more attractive exterior design, new Elantra 2017 interior design, and an expanded list of basic and optional equipment, as well as noticeably increased in size.
Elantra 2017 Interior
The interior design of the Elantra 2017 interior is made in the best traditions of the European car industry, characterized by its restraint and the highest ergonomics. The company emphasizes that they used better and more durable materials when creating the Elantra 2017 interior.
The driver’s seat pleases with a comfortable fit, a convenient three-spoke steering wheel, as well as an informative instrument panel, represented by two large dials and an onboard computer screen located between them. Elantra 2017 interior of the central panel is made in a restrained style and slightly turned towards the driver, which increases convenience when working with the multimedia system and the climate control unit.
Elantra 2017 interior of the center console is suggestive of a higher class car, which no doubt adds points to the new Elantra.
The front seats have got an excellent profile with well-felt lateral support and a wide range of adjustments, allowing a driver of any height and build to sit comfortably behind the wheel. Between the seats there is a niche with cup holders, and, as an option, a wide armrest can be installed, inside which there is a box for storing various small things.
The rear sofa is ready to take on board three riders, but tall passengers may feel a little uncomfortable here, which is due to the low sloping roofline, into which you try to bury your head. Rear sofa passengers have access to a separate air duct installed in the central tunnel, as well as a reclining armrest, which conventionally divides the sofa into two separate seats.
The trunk volume is relatively small and is equal to 458 liters, however, it can be more than doubled by folding the backs of the rear sofa. The undoubted advantage was the presence of a full-fledged spare wheel and a repair kit located in the luggage compartment underground.
